Assistant Professor (مدرس)
Faculty of Engineering
Dr. Ahmed Refaat graduated in the Department of Chemical Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Cairo University (2007) with a cumulative appreciation “Distinction with Honor degree”. In 2009, he received the MSc degree with a “Distinction” appreciation. The master thesis title is “Optimization of Biodiesel Production Using Different Techniques”. Finished PhD thesis titled “Green Chemistry Application Using Nano Technology and Microwave Irradiation: Biodiesel a Case” in the same department (2014). He has published 9 international publications and 13 conference papers (most of which are in the fields of energy and environment), including 10 single-authored papers in the fields of Energy, Environment and Engineering Education (6 of which dealt with the production of biodiesel from waste vegetable oil) and a Book Chapter published by Elsevier. He has more than 12 years teaching experience (including teaching postgraduate courses since 2014). He taught different subjects starting from the preparatory year, passing through the undergraduate program (in both mainstream and credit hour systems) and teaching to postgraduate students. Attended different courses in teaching and learning. Regarding activities, he supervised more than one student activity in addition to field trips. On the industrial/engineering experience level, participated in a number of projects and attended many courses in the fields of chemical safety and security
